Players will not be scattered through the ratings as long as they’ve played around 50-100 games, at this point your rating should stabilize and you will face people that are at your level, also before the next person mentions this, your accuracies will not be consistent so if you play one game at a 90 percent accuracy this does not mean you are a grandmaster

I admire your comment, but I feel like my rating should be atleast 1100(in blitz as I am already 1000 in rapid). This is specifically because i have defeated a 2100 rated player adjoined with FIDE once, drew with the 2000 elo bot and have defeated a 1700 in an unrated match. I am not sure why this is. Should I start a new account or should I continue another account in Licess*?

I think the more realistic and simpler answer is that your rating is accurate. The ratings aren't rigged. Look inward instead of placing blame on chess.com.

I understand you, but I still feel my rating is not accurate, should I consider creating a new account?? I do believe that I MYSELF rigged my account by playing lots of bullet matches, I do think that playing bullet matches could ruin my account. Not only that, I had a rating bump (significant changes in my chess playstyle) while te account was active, so should I consider creating another account??

Maybe you should play unrated games instead if you feel that way. Just saying.

Your rating is 1) the most accurate and 2) the only way to measure your strength on this platform. If you feel that your rating is inaccurate, the it should fluctuante and adaptnto your current level. A reason why your rating could be inacurrate is because you haven’t played enough games at your current strength so your rating didn't have time to adapt. But it should be more accurate the more you play. Don't get misleaded though. Everyone, because of ego principally want to appear better than they are, and will find excuses to explain that their rating is not where it should be. Remember that the rating is 1) the most accurate 2). the only way to measure your skill on this platform. You should not refer to other representation of your level as they're not accurate. Forget about the level the game review gives you, your accuracy, your puzzle rating, your upsets, the level of the bots you beat, your lichess rating (as it uses an other system) etc. We often think we are better than our rating because we can sometimes spot a good tactics, calculate deep into a sequence of moves, beat players stronger than is etc. But we often forget about the piece blunders, the positional inaccuracies, the tactical mistakes etc. If you have played enough games, if your rating is 800, I can't find any other explanation that your strength averages the 800 rating. The best way to know your level is to play against other players, and your rating is the numeral translation of these games. So if you think you're better than your rating, just play and it should adapt. No misteries here.

If you actually defeated a 2000 player as a 1000 player, then you should go through the ranks easily and reach 1500 in less than a week. Since your stuck at 1000, it means that your skill set isnt equipped to go against players who are 1500 yet. I dont think it would be fun for you to go against 1500s+ and lose most of ur games in a new account since ur not at that level yet.

Dont be dishartened, since you beat a 2000 player once, it means you have a huge potential to reach high elo. The room of improvement is vast. You just need to take your time and study a little. Then you will find yourself a 1500 in no time. Trust the process and good luck

I experienced the exact same thing. But I don't think this system is rigged. I think its just not accurate ; or even clise to accurate.

How funny and telling is the logic that says if you can beat a 2000 ; you should hit 1500 in a week....lmao :-)
