Chess com resigned my game when I was thinking

Chess com resigned my game "due to inactivity" while I had it on screen the entire time when I was thinking. It showed that it would resign in few second but I couldnt just close it and it required me to make a move. Why am I not able to use all of my time to think?

i know so it was just that you were disconnected and they think that you are not there so then i a few minutes it auto resigns if you don't re-connect

@Dishaharsha not really, my connection was excellent entire time.
@CassandraKang I definitely dont have high records of abandoning games - don't see why they should behave like this. As Gotham says, it is not the first blunder that makes you lose, but the next one. In this fashion, after I blunder, I usually try to focus more and calculate a little deeper, so it is really frustrating when it does not give you time and resigns.
Wouldn't it be better if you just clicked "I am here" to confirm? And not pushing you to move fast and force you to bad moves eventually when you still have plenty of time?
I mean, why if my oponent spend around 4 minutes so far and I spent only 1 minutes, should I be punished by moving fast?

ok, so if chess.com thinks you're not online or get disconnected while in a game, it will auto-resign for you, or it will say wait for your move like you must think quick, that has happened to me sometimes, and yes, it sucks, but I can't do nothing about it

Bcos you had bad records of abandoning games, simple as that, no brainers!

maybe, but I don't think that is how it works, if you suddenly abort games instantly, then yes, they may suspend or close your account

How about a button to let the opponent know you are thinking?
