Just be warned:the only thing I understand how to do on lichess is how to launch a game.

The platforms seem to have many differences. You'll really just need to try L out for yourself. I play on both with enjoyment. For me, the main difference is that i have more "wins" due to opponents timing out. Probably a few more instances of aborted games on L as well, but these are out of our control. I'd simply say enjoy each for what they offer.
