chess.com is the best because it is gold, platinm, dimond

Chess.com premium is not as great as people say it is. They boast about their video library when you can learn almost all of the videos on Youtube. The Analysis doesn't go as in depth as Lichess unless you have premium (top level) and the opening explorer is not as good as Lichess and Lichess provides full access for free. I can find master games, other players games, and (most pracctical) games on Lichess that people played. That's how people find out about all these opening traps and learn openings. Also, Chess Library is just a knock-off version of Lichess studies

Marcyful

Lichess has the much better and more original piece designs while chess.com just recolors and retextures piece designs. Nuff said

DIE2EMS

I simply do not like the style of lichess…

Duck

I prefer chess.com because 1. It's the site I originally started out with and 2. I like the name better.

DragonWizard02

chess.com is garbage i hate chess.com

PunchboxNET
Why ask this question on chess.com? Ask it on chess24 or something lol.

What is "Lichess" ? And "Chess24" ? Are these concurrent apps ? Wait no there are no concurrent apps. There is only Chess.com

Chess24 sux though

chess24's platform is falling miserably at least on the interface from my experiences, many like hikaru are saying that they arent doing so well and i tend to agree as from my view their only big success are the magnus tours which waste a huge bunch of money along with their commentary/broadcasting team but apart from all of that, who wants to play on a bad server? i do have hope of course as i love all of the 3 sites and wish that maybe chess24 can bounce back

monkey-armory

I like chess.com more. It just looks better and I like it more.

I only play Daily Chess, and for that, Chess.com is superior. At Lichess, Daily chess is just a sideshow and they do not offer Daily tournaments, and they lack a Vacation mode. Their Casual mode is nice though.

Because Daily tournaments allow people to use other resources. I have nothing against daily games but it a lot better to just resign then go on vacation. Most people who use vacation do it when they don't want to continue playing a game but don't want to resign

Well let's see: one starts with a letter c, and the other with an l ?

Does Hikaru has a contract with Chess.com that specifies that he won't stream games on other platforms?

Chess.com better puzzles. Lichess more fair play.
Nerd-Man

They're both great for different reasons.

Ziryab

I like and use both.

Forums here are vastly superior. I prefer the chessdotcom interface, range of features, and number of quality opponents.

Lichess studies are great. On Lichess, I can play simul against my students.

Arena pairing at Lichess is ridiculously slow. But, I can only create Arena tournaments here for members of a club. That's an extra step when I'm trying to set up an event for students in a Zoom session.
I could go on.

Be a paying member here. Be a patron there. Support chess and good quality chess sites.

if you say chess.com on lichess forums, they will explode with "chess.com sucks"

So I agree that the forums here are better

They also archive threads within a few days. Here, you can resurrect a dead thread and it gets now comments.

On Lichess, you can never get help. I've created several threads there about the slow Arena pairings. All are archived. None have useful comments. Here a mod would see it and make an excuse (or let me know a reason). Arena pairings here are not slow, even when there are only six players in the event.
