Best resignation I faced over the board was in 1977 when smoking was allowed in public, I was playing Lou Prescott a pipe smoker. I was 3 moves from checkmate and Lou Prescott resigned by picking up his king and dropping it in the Ashtray!??
Funny

I missed mate vs Daniel(1400).
In my defense, I was going fast and didn't expect that from him.
I still won, though.
I once hung both my queen and my rook in an otb game when I had an easy person last game which I should've won
I accepted a draw from my opponent in a winning position
i did the same, i was up around 3 on the analysis after my opponent accepted my draw
You know how most of the time I don't use much punctuation?
That would be because some time last late summer/early autumn I had bad tilt and threw a heavy object at the computer and now a bunch of the keys don't work.
If I really want to use a comma I copy and paste one from elsewhere.
I'm working on it.
I force myself to take breaks before it gets really bad now.
I thought a game was a draw and the person I was playing with agreed. We shook hands and concluded the game. Then I realized it wasn't a draw and I had one legal move.
Once I resigned in a fair position, because I thought I had blundered a rook.
