I had the same "That's not where I wanted to set that piece!" problem a while back when doing puzzles. IIRC Support advised emptying the app's cache file. May've been something else. The problem went away after a while.

I have played so many games and lost because it drops pieces in the wrong square or I get timed out because it won't let me place pieces where they can go. This doesn't even count bullet games where players place pieces faster than even possible on my computer. Really too bad, it is a fun place to play. Just like all computer games. All aimed at making you pay money. mostly bots disguised as real players.
