I tried browsing old forums looking for a chess Ebook club, but couldn't find any?! Looking for people that would like to share Chess Ebooks via the Barnes and Noble "Lend Me" system- I have a limited library now, but could purchase books to share with others as well- perhaps we could study the same books then play against each other? happy.png  My apologies if something like this is already out there, but would love to be a part of it Thank you, and have a good day happy.png

We could each work from our own copy of either the ebook or print edition. I think the more important element is working through the sects together and practicing together.

Please disregard #3, it was posted in error before finishing.

"Barnes and Noble" has a cool system where certain books may be shared with friends across the world. Certain books are labeled with a"lend me" marker on the store page, indicating that this book may be loaned out electronically- NOT ALL BOOKS ARE "LENDABLE"! ;it depends on the copyright information- but everybook with the sticker is lendable.  I believe that they can only be read from PC's and Barnes and Noble Devices.  I have a small collection of "Lendable" chess books, including tactics books and books for beginners-- Please note that I have only used the lend me system once, so looking it up on google may yield a more detailed description.

The owner of the lendable book must purchase it at full price, but then it may be borrowed out to others at no charge (just like you could let a friend borrow a paper book)-- meaning that you could read any of the books that I have purchased, for free! *and vice versa lol*

Nope, only certain books labeled with the "LENDABLE" lable-- so if people with B&N accounts wanted to get together, we could share our "LENDABLE" books together for free access to a great selection of chess books happy.png

Yes- I agree, this is what many chess clubs do, but there are none in my area.  I think that would be awesome!
