Why does it feel like:- a) it takes me 6 months to gain 10-20 ELO b) it takes 30 minutes to lose 150 ELO c) If I win a game I gain 3-4 ELO d) When I lose a game I lose 8-12 ELO Is chess just a frustratingly rubbish game?

It’s also Elo not ELO, it’s a name of a player not an acronym.
