Hi, I am a beginner to chess with 300 ELO. I was wondering if you could help me analyze what I am doing wrong and how I could improve. So far, I have been watching YouTube videos with gameplay analysis, analyze every game I play and solve puzzles. Thanks a lot in advance :)
Watch videos and practice new openings. In 2021 (this isn't my first account) I was around 800-900. Watching chess content, particularly my favorite content creator, GothamChess, got me really into chess and made me learn a lot of things into where I am today. I also learned a few things using Chess.com's lessons. The openings I enjoy playing the most are the Englund and Petrov as black, and Italian as white. I recommend playing openings with tricks or traps because those got me a lot of early elo, but that might just be a personal preference. Good luck on your chess journey 👋
