Chess for Oldtimers --- Good Idea !

we see in others what we see in ourselves certainly - if we hate them we hate something in them which remind us of ourselves same as we love em - but when we run across the mundaine - well who cares glad theyre enyoying themselves is all

never met any one who appeared normal worth meeting
I have to agree. Although tkbunny makes a good point .. or 2 ...about appearances ... but, I don't know ... his points seem confusing, even self-contradictory ... maybe he means to be simply throwing out clichés for fun. I can get down with that... oh, yeah....

Whoops... I'd missed U-P's last post. Now that I've read it... well, I'm thinking this entire discussion is very deep... and I may not understand it all, but there's one thing I'm certain of. None of us involved in it is normal. Not by a long shot. !

You speak for yourself.
No offense, dear Kay! I was just going by avatars.
Note: One's a Weird Floppy-Earred "Bunny" with different color ears(!),one's a Blue Head with Feet(!) (and big green Leaves for Hair), and mine's an odd-looking Green-Faced Woman in a Psychedelic Room....
On the other hand, Kay, Your avatar is a Perfectly appropriate, Lovely line drawing of a Knight piece on a chessboard. You may be the Only normal person on this whole site!
Wow ! Thanks a lot for all of these new posts.
I have not had a chance to go thru them all but I'm sure that there is some good " stuff " there.

whats your daughter look like?
Don't you go near my daughter! She's happily married to my wonderful son-in-law (hence my "chess name") and, as the beloved mother of my adorable grandson, my daughter is sacrosanct.
Furthermore, just in case "ethics" wouldn't deter you, let me add this: My son-in-law is As Strong as an Ox, and my daughter was Captain of her Rugby Team in college. (Word to the wise, here.)

Hahaha - so much you can do w a Pokemon - just not enough time - I like rugby chicks w husbands that r as smart as an ox :)

Happy Birthday, Bobby, from me, too!
P.S. Now that you're so old, would you mind teling me what it's like? .... The thing is, I won't be 72 for another month, so I've still got Plenty of time to gather information, make some exciting new plans, and get myself fully "in gear" for the coming year ..... So, tell me: so far, has 72 been a really terrific age to be? Oh, I'll bet it has been... I can hardly wait.... !
Thanks again for the posts.
A little item for the golfers out there from the late Phyllis Diller: " The reason that the pro tells you to keep your head down is so that you can't see him laughing ".

:-D!
Thanks for the post Motherinlaw.
I found another good one for golfers, this one is from the late Gerald Ford ( yup the Prez ): " I know I'm getting better at golf because I'm hitting fewer spectators ".
Unfortunately, he meant with the golf cart.
Thanks for the post HueyWilliams. Yes he did have the odd little accident here and there lol.
Thank goodness for Chess.com cab, where we are all normal.
oh dear, oh dear .... uh, I meant, Oh, how Sweet! ... Please don't ever lose that lovely, innocent faith in the normalcy and sanity of random CPE's (chess players everywhere) ... well, except for U-P-G-R-A-Y-E-D-D ....... he "crazy."
