Give up, you'll never be a grandmaster.
Chess Improvement

Join a chess club. Play a lot of games. Discuss chess with other people of similar interest. Read chess books helps too.
It's okay to set a goal to achieve 2600. However, you need to be aware that it takes a long time to get to 2600 rating. In fact, most people never make it in their lifetime. Perhaps 2000 is a more realistic goal. But hey you'll never know. You are still young, and you may be talented enough to get to 2600 easily.
I am in WA, thanks for the all the replies. As for Scottrf I will not give up. Yes I agree on setting smaller goals and building up my first was to reach 1000. I will check out chess tempo and try to improve that way, do you guys know any free good videos to improve middlegames mainly (the area I struggle the most) but also endgames, (have found a good chess openning website and am practicing them).
Hi
I am trying to improve my chess with the hope of one day becoming a grandmaster (It is a dream). I am not good at reading as I have dyslexia. I also don't have a lot of monay at the moment as I am in high school. Can you guys suggest ways I can improve my chess to get up to a rating of around 2600? I am willing to work hard for this but don't want to waste time, also I am a rating around 1050 - 1080.
Thanks for any help
