Does anyone have any cool stories or photos of chess being played in prison, the ghetto, drug-addict rehabilitation centers? I respect the copyright owner of images, so won't post any images here directly. But Flickr has a few:

I was a chess beginner when I began to work as a sport teacher in a rehab in Switzerland in 1998. As some of our patients were used to play chess in the prison, I began to play against them. I began to improve my game and with the time to give chess lessons for beginners. Since them is chess part of our program in this rehab center. Some other clinics began also to include chess in their program after they saw that this was a great thing to teach people a new hobby.
