in all seriousness, it would only take a few minutes to create a new forum section "other languages" and create its first sub-section "General Discussion (spanish)" Then appoint a Spanish speaking mod and it's done.

There are tons of magazines and stuff in Spanish, why isnt chess in Spanish too.

Sure, let's have a Spanish forum. But I want a German forum to practise my German in. And one for the Nordic languages too. And others will want forums then for their languages. You see the problem? Besides, who of the current site staff will mod such forums? Just start your threads in Spanish and presumably those who know the language will respond.

German not spoken in a ton of countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, plus a variety in Luxemburg. It's also widely understood in the former Eastern Europe.

Chess.com has provided a worldwide  site for people to play on for free, I don't see any reason for you or anyone else to be complaining about English being the primary langauge. You're not the one paying the bills around here.

As far as I know Switzerland talks a variation of German, and Austria sucks. Lichtensein is so small it should be given to Mexico as an overseas territory and Luxemburg too!
