Chess is a gender-neutral game secretly built by progressive monks during the Spanish Inquisition

I have to say the comment about a chess board looking like a table cloth is really insightful.

After a short but intense inner struggle I have decided to use this analogy in future as if I came up with it myself.

dear Ciarli

please get back on topic , this thread is about the French and how they have messed up chess. You can keep writing gibberish just include the French.

chess was created by master minds not in earth and not at this era of Goth but at the era of Kings and Kingdoms when Goth was only a terrible beast of muscles and no brain! now chess is conquered by Goth impression about the world and strong tactics dominate as a style of play and positional play can hardly endure even at Master level!

I think I understand. So the pop gods created chess not the Goths,

Yes?

But now the Goths own it because pop is dead,

Right?

Now let me tell u the real story.

Chess was invented in India and was named Chaturanga, The game played at that time was completely different from the way we play now. Kings used to play chaturanga with other kings and often gambled their kingdoms at stake. You must be wondering " then how were the pieces on the chess board were named after positions at the church?". Thats when the British came. They influenced Indian lifestyle and changed the game to how they like. There is proof. You must have seen that in England the queen rules everybody. The same applies to chess.

Interesting theory. I never knew India had progressive monks.

Real story?

The Spanish were playing the current version of the game well before British occupation of India.

Even Kirsan was more convincing with his alien theory.

India doesn't have monks and don't believe the creator of this forum.

Are you familiar with early players like damiano & ruy Lopez?  Look them up & compare the dates with British occupation of India.

There is no valid proof that players like Damiano and Ruy Lopez even existed. We assume that they exist because of various manuscripts of which the exact date is not mentioned. The games played by them could be just composed by some random person.

Chaturanga was not secretly made and one more time India is a Hindu country and monk are from Christianity.

I am sure I saw an interview with Ruy Lopez back in the 1980's , he must have been real.

Hey, the New World Game of Chess rises from the mists of literature with Spanish and Italians leading the way.

After the Queen got extra powers, what difference does it make how that new game relates to Persia and India??  It's a fundamentally different game at that point.

Who cares if Columbus wasn't the first to discover America, it's a dead issue in today's world.  Same is true of Old Chess (from India and Persia) and New World Chess (from around the year 1492).

Except for those pesky Frenchmen, (as pointed out above by @DD) -- will the French keep trying to revitalize the world, now that Macron has devised a new form of government??

When Zhou Enlai was asked, what were the effects of the French Revolution, he replied -- "it's too earlier to tell."

There is a lot of misinformation in this forum.

The main weapon of the Spanish Inquisition is surprise.... AND FEAR.

I mean, they're TWO main weapons are fear, surpirse, and unending dedication to the pope, no, I mean they're THREE....
