But, when I try to use  it at the Santa Monica Beach, near the Pierce, the Lifeguards kick me out, because it was against the "Rules"!

You has a Right to drawn anywhere , but you cannot use the special Swimming Floating Device at the Santa Monica City Beach...

I can share my own Device with a "killGoose" , just for swimming in the chess concentrated soup...

Chess is an enjoyable waste of time. There have been times when I played  live chess for hours trying to get back the rating points I lost. I end up getting tired and losing more rating points.-Since I started playing e-mail chess I have not been playing much live chess.

Maybe in order to understand mankind we have to look at that word itself. MANKIND. Basically, it's made up of two separate words "mank" and "ind." What do these words mean? It's a mystery and that's why so is mankind.  -- Jack Handey

Haha, I don't understand half of the posts on this thread, but the color is amusing!

Anyway, I'd like to contribute to the "Lord Byron" part of this thread...

Sir William Jones canonized the classical deity Caissa in his eponymous poem "Caissa," which began with the following verses:

Of armies on the chequer'd field array'd,
And guiltless war in pleasing form display'd;
When two bold kings contend with vain alarms,
In ivory this, and that in ebon arms...

Read it in full, if you have an hour of spare time, but if you don't, indulge me in my humble contribution...

Were Teak a Capulet of royal hue,

and Oak a prince of Montague,

they’d write a play of twisted fate

as twisted as the fabled two.

For in a kingdom of dark and light,

on opposed squares their armies fight,

and yet, unlike their troops who hate,

Kings of one the other Queens pursue!

Oh strange affinity! Oh strange desire

whose woeful target is your enemy’s sire!

Learned these two in the story of olde

how a tryst so lewd must end so cold.

In this story too the end is forced, if late,

by vicious check! Then, checkmate!

Chess is just phony, Chess is too sexy!

All our night agony is virtual massy...

Who will be winner? Canddles like a snakes!

It's was good dinner! And, no more shake...

How many squares  more dark, than other?

Who will be winner? sisters or brothers?

Chess is so friendly! The looser just smiling!

Chess is too sexy! Kiss me, admirer!..

Chess is a sport! Lift up your buttocks.!

Chess is a Fight! Chess is a crater...

What also  is Chess? Gimme your answers!
