Chess, by design, saps your wealth, decreases your exposure to the public, and keeps you from the books that will make you smarter. Seems to be working.
If you want to become wholly unproductive, add fly fishing to the mix. Life will be great and you will die in complete obscurity, and possibly also poverty.
