chess doesnt make you healthy, wealthy and smart. no matter what they say to convince you, dont believe a word of it.

chess wont make you happy, even most of the time it will make you upset. chess wont make you productive, it wont make you better at anything useful in life

healthy minds reside in healthy bodies. develop your body, make exercises, learn some martial arts, do sport activities

you will feel much much better (google: runner's high), you will be a better person both mentally and physically. produce something, interest with arts, read books, develop skills.

chess.. ches is nothing, play it for fun if you do, dont be a chess nerd and waste your life on it

You're closed minded. You can use chess principles in other aspects of life as well. For example, forced moves in chess. Cut away all your opponents options where they can only move where you want them to. You can use that in sports, business, you name it. It gives you a greater perspective in achieving your goals.

Chess is just a hobby but you do get some life lessons (I first came to view this perspective when watching Andrew tate)

Chess is a hobby to let your brain cells get depleted to learn openings, middlegames, and endgames and then know you're never going to be a GM and quit and think about your life decisions
