I see we have a thread here now where the OP claims that Chess is dying and improvements are needed ? Well OTB Chess may have slowed down a bit however on-line Chess games have become quite popular, things change over time.

You just need to run it through Google Translate.

@badenwurtca how many times you say "thanks for the new post"? It's ok😀 people enjoy to write on forums, no need to feel great if they write on your forum... just take it easy as they write on other forums...

---   Okay then I'll change things a bit: Very Nice of you to leave a post.

The main modification that have been made to the rules of Chess in the last 500 years or so was the introduction of the Chess-Clock. Therefore Chess is now the perfect game and no further changes are needed !

I see we now have a thread on the go here entitled " How Chess Should be Changed ". Sorry however the fact of the matter is that Chess does not need any changes.

---   Classical Chess is just fine as it is. Of course Chess 960 and other variations are also there for those players who might want to try something different.

Just a few years ago they changed the rules of chess. Removing the 75 move rule. Thats the most recent change as far as I know.

Thanks for the post.

Chess is a flawed version of Xiangqi. Its perfection lies in how perfectly it highlights how much better of a game Xiangqi is.
