Hello everyone,
What would you consider a good chess netiquette - and is it important for you? Do you consider players unfriendly, who don't even say "hi", after you greeted with gl hf/ good luck have fun?
If so, does this change in very short games (5 min/3 min/1 min)?
Would you at least expect a gg/good game, no matter the outcome?
What was the unfriendliest behaviour? And what the most friendly one?
Do you consider it okay, if one tries to time you out, if you are in a very big lead?
----
In my experience, a formal greeting, even "hi", is rather irregular. Also, isn't it a bit ... unthoughtful, if you wish a "good game" and the reply is just "ty"?
On the other hand, swearing is rare.
I had only 2 instances with swearing - that happened already in the greeting.

On other boardgame platforms it is common to say "gl hf" or "gg" in the beginning
and "gg ty" at the end.
What's your take/ what are your experiences with that?
Like you said, greetings are rare. I don't expect any. If I get one, I will respond. I never chat much during a game.
Glad to hear that you find swearing/abuse rare.
