Chess pieces in starting wrong position

Hi to all.

I was challenged to a new match and this is the first time the pieces are not at the proper starting position.

Do you know why this might be?

It's a Chess 960 game.

The match was a chess 960 game all the pieces are randomized each game to make the opening not as important
