I can relate, quite funny when one realizes. It is also funny when you are proud of a certain move (a sacrifice for example) and the engine tells you it was a mistake.

Exactly! I thought I improved because i saw the mistake two steps late but atleast I saw it. But then, the engine tells me I made quite more. I should probably play longer controls.

Long time controls are great for improvement imo, the games also have a higher "quality".

some amateurs in any discipline can beat pros

 

professionals just means that you are in that discipline for the money. It dos not neccessarily mean you are better than amatuers.

 

amateurs just meant that you are in that discipline for fun. Kind of like a passion and/or hobby
