Does anyone agree with me on this: as a chess player we all seem to have an increase in risk taking in real life.

Like anything else in life, it depends on the person. I'm not someone that takes many risks in life but will sometimes in chess

I tend to beat my acquaintances when playing over the board more than online, perhaps it's a different atmosphere that does it for me. Perhaps I'm more alert in a real life environment while others are not, like @Martin_Stahl said, it depends on the person.
