The US has to stay involved in the Middle East,because the rise of ISL,which now threatens countries around the world is our fault. We made the mess,so we can't walk away. If the UN were to pass a resolution saying the US should stop our aggressive activities in the Middle East, I think we would pull the plug and leave.

You can't read only you want to read.. I articulate my speech (bad english but I articulated it); anyway I'm happy it's possible to discuss about USa's foreign policy. If you go looking at militar bases and USA's wars after the dissolution of URSS, you can see they are all around the territory of Russia; in geopolitical words they are trying to conquer the Heartland.
Furthemore Europe "leaders" are the slave of USA, they have not decisional autonomous power and we are going against our interests. I pray for an isolationist USA's policy but it's difficult; USA sent 2 week ago his vessel to menace China. Why? The world now is multipolar, they have to accept there are others. Only this-
