Chess Playing style
try to play tactical first after that lpay like petrosian its usually better
I played tactically through the '70s and '80s. I sucked at that too.
I go for closed, positional...um...positions most of the time, except occasionally I'll see a sacrifice or tactical combination that "feels" good and I'll just go for it.
Oh, and also, I notice that against players of similar rating I usually win material in the opening-to-middlegame (both with or without positional compensation) then I play defensively and exchange off pieces as much as possible to consolidate the advantage. Of course, it doesn't always work. XD

What is your chess playing style, how would you descirbe it?
