If you can get it cheaply enough, then the Chessbase DVD "Chess for Scoundrels" bei GM Nigel Davies is worth looking at. He speaks about torturing your opponent (not in the physical sense!), giving him rope (to hang himself with), dealing with time-trouble (both your own and your opponents), dealing with must-win-situations and situations when you really need a draw. It is presented in an entertaining way and easy to follow. What he says does make sense and is of some practical value. Watching it once is sufficient, so maybe you can borrow it from a friend or something.
Bobby Fischer: I dont believe in psychology
Some examples of Psychology in chess:
When we play against stronger opponent, we get nervous or might take more time to make a move.
When we are winning, we sometimes become relaxed and commit mistakes.
In the final round, if we win will come first and if we lose then come tenth. Such situation impact our games.
We are humans, psychology impact our game whether we believe it or not.
Thanks Alpenschach, I will consider "Chess for Scoundrels". Watching a youtube link of it - http://youtube.com/watch?v=l0x_Kvdc8X0
