I would say that I could get a 2000ish rating by the end of the summer holidays. I don't think that is a very high rating. I am the leader of a chess club in my school though. Anyway, thank you for your advice!

Hello guys,
I heard a friend say that he is going to write about chess in his (U.S)college application next year. I am also decent at chess but don't have a fide rating yet. Do you guys know what chess fide rating is good for an extracurricular to get into ivy leagues? Chess won't be my main focus point if I write about it.
