How does i get my rate score higher in each game? Now i only get about 10-15+ in every game, is it possible to score 50+ ? If i play against one with higher average then me maybe?

From what I understand, the rating system is meant to rate you based on games against opponents within a certain range of your rating. Once you get outside of that range, you gain/lose 0 points. It seems this range is reached before you can gain/lose 50 points.

As for your points; I took a look at your profile. You have played 66 games in blitz. You will start to see the number of points you gain/lose will decrease now.

When you first start, or have not played for a long time, the system gives/takes more points than it will once it has a clear idea of what your rating really is.

Here is a link posted earlier in the thread that explains it:

Yes. Playing someone higher-rated than yourself and winning will get you more rating points. Unless you use a computer to help, in which case it gets your account banned.

Ok, but you play often, then you wont score 50 points unless you're beating someone unrealistically high like +800 points.

If you play often, getting 10 points is a good result.  Against even opposition you may only get 5.

YOu won't get/lose points playing against someone +-800 points.

Hmm.  Maybe you mean you won't lose/get points by playing someone +-800 points Tongue Out

Every player is raSmileted at 1200 after several games the rating will rise or fall

tomy_gun

chess must have a rating system for professional masters, I think

restarting from 0 and taking in consideration every strategic or tactical high points that the players show and looking less at the result, they arent children anymore
