Unfortunately, there appear to be thousands of coaches and the page offers no way to do even the most rudimentary of filtering.
In my opinion, studying in ur own with an engine assistance or good site like chess.com is more effective and cheaper than studying with a coach.

You got to try. Get yourself a good titled player - maybe ask someone like IM Pfren for a recommendation.
See if you connect well with the coach. After a few lessons - do you suddenly understand some things better, do you have some clearer ideas in areas that were unclear before, did he help you pinpoint some areas in your games that need attention... you should feel if it works or not.
I think that there's a golden potential for progress when working with a much stronger player who can also analyze and explain things verbally, with enough examples and exercises - and due attention to your own play.

tigerlilov.com has been recommended by a few people I know. He seems high quality, based on reviews and his free lessons.

True. I know (through chess.com) one of his students who raves about him. He's U18 and makes progress beautifully. Learns a lot.
I am Class A player looking to get better. Would like teacher who reviews games but also gives good structured lessons and homework. Any suggestions?
