The Grail Knight wasn't really a knight.
He was actually a dairy farmer.

Let's use this post to share all the Chess wisdom that we come across, namely, tips on how to improve or perform better.
When I first started playing chess, I was casual games with a 2000+ chess player at a coffee shop. She is much older than I am, and she told me that, "like LIFE and chess, always keep your options open."

and when your opponent has a superior bishop keep the center closed.
Don't start off playing fianchetto systems all the time. I played like that for so long that now I have no idea how to deal with attacks on my king when I have all three pawns unmoved in front of my castle. I also don't know how to handle pins on my knight on f6 or f3. Also, with fianchetto systems you tend to play on the queenside and so you don't learn how to attack. Even when you do attack, you tend to use pawns (f4,h3,g4 thrusts) instead of piece play, which is essential in positions without fianchettoes. Trying to learn how to play non-fianchetto positions is such a pain in the ass now as I'm getting massacred.

Fianchetto systems are better when you follow it up by actually fianchettoing the bishop.
You can put the pieces in between two squares to throw off your opponent.
???? seriusy? you dont count that as cheating? I would hit the clock imideatly asking you to adjust your pieces on your time
nope I'm serious, if you have just a few seconds left you can move close to the clock to minimize hand movement; another thing I found is that in online bullet, try to make instant plans that are around 5 moves deep as then you can make 5 moves instantaneously; you will find that your opponent plays in reaction to you when you have a plan and so you will dictate how the game goes

If you hit the clock in a game with an increment you will add time.

Then I would ask the tournament leader come over and reset it, still while his time was running

The tournament leader might be busy fighting for first place.
You will be better off asking the tournament director.
People say you should follow your heart; do what you love. However, that is a recipe for disaster. Do what you love, but make sure you are good at it. Otherwise you will spend your life feeling like you are wasting your gifts. Once you do find something you love and are also good at, then consecrate your life to it.
People say you should follow your heart; play the Grunfeld. However, that is a recipe for disaster. Play the Grunfeld, but make sure you are good at it. Otherwise you will spend your life feeling like you are wasting your gifts. Once you do play the Grunfeld and are also good at, then consecrate your life to it.
Let me try .. I forgot the quote precisely, they are " dont look at what outside the board, but look what left inside the board"
Hihi
This can get even more extreme when it comes to knights at the edge or in the center.
