You are likely trying to install an engine with wrong architecture and/or build specifications.
And- you cannot create a new engine in Chessbase products if they are not activated.

It is also possible that the OP is trying to install (or "create") an engine which has already been installed. If the engine has already been "created", then simply click on "add kibitzer" to select from the installed engines, or "default kibitzer" to selct the default kibitzer.
Are there sufficient resources to support the engine?

there are no engines in defaullt kbitzer app.
and i've activated cb12...

1. From a board window, select "Create UCI Engine"...
2. Find the folder where you keep your engines. Your file path will be different from mine.
If you don't have any engines you can download Stockfish engines from here. They are free and arguably the best.
3. Select your engine by double-clicking on it, you will return to fig.2 but this time will have the engine name and author in the box.
Click OK.
4. You will now have to "Add Kibitzer" - select your engine from a list of available engines, click on "advanced"...
5. Set the amount of RAM you want to use, it is recommended that you do not use more than half of what is available.
Choose whether you want that engine to be your default engine (recommended, the engine will retain the same settings each time you select "Default Engine")
Choose whether you want the engine to access tablebases.
Click on engine parameters...
6. Set the number of threads (CPU cores) you want it to use (depends on the specification of your computer), and if you are using Syzygy tablebases, increase the "Syzygy Probe Depth" to between 10-20. Leave other values as they are.
Save the settings, you can later recall them with a few clicks.
Click OK

Your new default engine should run at the current board position...

It's 64-bit windows 8.1 quad core pro.

Thanks man.. I've uninstalled cb12 as it was a corrupted version.. now using cb13.. thanks for the help anyways!!
Hey all, I've recently installed chessbase 12 on my pc. But whenever I click on "Create UCI Engine", a popup shows saying Engine load error. And nothing works from then onwards. please help me get rid of this problem..
