I use it. I dunno if I can answer your questions cause I haven't really taken time to REALLY learn to use it, but try me.
cheers, can i store games on it as in saving lots of my personal games because when i press save after entering a game it says:
'The program has not been activated yet, you cannot save games, please enter an activation key to get full access'
I thought it was free so what does this mean???

No you can't save your own games unfortunately. It's sort of a trial version I guess so if you want all the features (like saving) you have to purchase it.
oh damn
so what features are there which are useful on the free version???

Well I guess the most useful feature is that it's free. 
And you can export your games as PGN even if you can't save them, though that obviously isn't as good.
