Mercury-Mars Conjunct in Capricorn February 28

After Mercury's retrograde cycle, he begins to gain momentum, entering back into Capricorn on February 8, conjuncting with Jupiter on February 18, conjuncting with Rahu and the Moon on February 22 and finally with Mars on February 28. Mercury as the messenger, and as our capacity to share and exchange with others and the world at large, is easily influenced and picks up the habits and customs of other planets with whom he associates. So, he's collecting quite a bit of energy as he moves through crowded Capricorn. The best charge he'll get in Saturn's earth sign will be from Mars, in the late degrees of his sign of exaltation. That means that Mars performs best while operating in Capricorn. The combination of Mercury and Mars energy is what brings us many of the great scientific and technological wonders of our modern world. To harness this strain of power would be useful in rewiring or reprogramming some of the systems that may be outdated and in need of change. Mars understands power and resources, while Mercury understands conveyance and networks; a formidable partnership.

hmm how is atlantis going to fare after this alignment of the stars? and is my king a capricorn? if my chess game is preordained why woud i play it? if you believe in fate (or whatever astrological euphemism youd care to use) why would you play chess? just curious.

Zeus-Herra tiff in Mount Olympus February 25

After Mighty Zeus's holiday in Valhalla he returns to find Herra's Aunty Flow is in town, due to the conjunction of Herra's cycle and the phase of the moon.  Still not forgiven for his latest dalliance with a mortal, the exquisite Beyoncé of Texas, Herra's passion may cause disruption in the mortal realm.  Indeed when Hermes informs her of Mighty Zeus's return she disregards the classical advice, and does indeed shoot him.  This may well cause disruption to earthly communications networks.  Working against Herra's rage is mighty Zeus's pleasure at having got his end away, and as always the God of Gods takes precedence.  Consequently, despite the network disruptions caused by the death of Hermes, the coming days bode well for Live Chess.

this still doesnt answer my real question. what is santa claus' sign? ive heard hes a libra, but im a libra and i know for a fact that our personalities are polar opposites.

Have you heard the one about the God sending himself down to earth as his own son in order to make a blood sacrifice to propiate his wrath, so he could forgive us all for an inherited sin relating to accepting the word of a talking snake?

It's fascinating what people can believe.

hophead

every time i talk to a snake, its nothing but trouble. and just for the record, "god" knew full well what he was doing, there was never any wrath involved in jesus dying for peoples sins. unless youre a catholic, then i think there might be wrath involved in everything up to, and including, sex.

Beelzebub666

Oh sure, he had his mysterious reasons noone can articulate for needing a blood sacrifice, that were in no way related to the wrathful evil God he was in the old testament.  I take it you've bought into that particular piece of mythology then, it really does fascinate me how people perfectly capable of rejecting nonsense like astrology can still fall for its equivalent.

Just, like I hate to see Astrology misrepresented. (A little equally applied respect goes a long way, hop & Bub). There are deeper levels to all beliefs - even to an age-old belief called "Love" - strictly a biochemical process -  that you probably "believe in" (you do love your girlfriend/spouse, right?) But for the strictly rationaI its called just another "convenient label." Hey, Bub: maybe that Stanford protein-folding download will cure that psychosis, eh? Then we won't waste money on corporate sponsored Holidays like V-day, Mother's Day, Father's day, Anniversaries.... blah, blah, blah.

I didn't misrepresent it, I represented it without the centuries of apologist theology that is automatically associated with it, which was my point.  It's every bit as daft as astrology.  'Jesus died for our sins' really is saying God made a blood sacrifice of himself to himself to atone for his anger at humanity for a sin committed by people long dead, that no civilised legal system could have held us accountable for.  But 'Jesus died for our sins' bypasses the critical thought process more likely to be triggered by the restatement, simply because we are used to it.

A biochemical process doesn't need any faith, and that one is not a psychosis.  Whether strictly rational or not it is the same emotion.

When it comes to religions (or the closely related astrology) 'respect' means 'don't question my beliefs or treat the subject as you would any other', it's a cop-out.  If you believe a leprechaun lives in your cupboard, that's not something that should be accorded respect.  Particularly when you plan on teaching your poor children his name and shoe size.

PIRO_BOII

astrology is soooo complex

Wacky_Woohoo_Pizza_Man

Complex but is it real?
