Chess.com is not responding

Has anyone come across this message ?

I was in the middle of a game and suddenly I couldn't move my pieces.

A bar came up saying something like "trying to reconnect to chess.com" but it didnt.

I had to restart the computer to get back, by which time I lost the game of course , of course I happened to be  winning it, I think lol.

Does anyone know a quicker way to get back to chess.com ?

ps my signal was 5 bars and it is a powerful laptop.

As you restarded the PC probably it was not a connection problem. Anyway I've never played online, I prefer to play live tournement, and just brain disconnection can happen, common for me!

Might be something in here.  Oh, pretty sure restarting your computer is not the way to go.  Refresh the page maybe or do a "hard refresh" (Is that control F5?, I forget). Embarassed

If you are on a computer when that happens, my first suggestion would just be to refresh the page.  If that doesn't work, close the page, without logging off, and then start the broswer or open a new page, and go back to live. It should load your game again

I have that too and when I was just about to win,I couldn't move the piece I needed to win

I doubt that smashing your computer because of Chess.com is covered under your warranty...

I always have the same problem , very frequent, when asking for support I get a response that is my internet, but I can navigage other pages, I can even send them the support ticket, If I refresh the page automatically the game is lost, this is a bug that have not been fixed.

So maybe you should clean it, put new batteries into it or buy another mouse.
