Bishop on b6 stops your king from moving to g8, rook on H file is pinning your bishop to your king thus not allowing you to take the knight. So, knight to g3 is indeed checkmate.

that is checkmate.  checkmate does not refer to capturing the king, only attacking the king (check) where the king cannot get out of check by any legal move.
