gm's are sometimes wrong.
chess.com rules of thumb

The problem with rules is that they can change depending on a number of factors during a game. For example, "Knights before Bishops." While bringing your Knights out during the opening makes more sense, since they can jump over other pieces and (because of their initial starting positions) defend the central squares, you cannot say it is an absolute law. It all depends on the position. Since positions constantly change these rules change as well.

would a gm please give us some tips ? Why all the silly talk. sapp 118 was a nice rule
It's a sign of the forum's maturity when jokes proliferate. Next stop: All jokes and senility.
why so much silly talk. i am trying to get better at chess. that why i joined chess.com
perhaps a tip about chess.com is that you are always going to get off-topic and silly answers to your questions.
tip for chess.com - don't ask whether knights are better than bishops, don't try to learn the meaning of a stratigically position, and don't say anything about bobby fischer.

And it's really none of your business if they resign or not..

out of respect for my opponent i always resign within the first five moves.

In your last game against drummerboy, Dec 11, on move 18.......Qf5, 19Ne7wins the black queen, all I can say never underestimate the power of your knights. Once you learn to master your knights, it can be very confusing to your opponent especially if he is hung up on bishop power.

This eternal debate about the knights and bishops amuses me, because a lot of it is sheerly preference. But truly it is positional expedience.
The Knights have intrigued me from the first time I saw a chess set, so I favor them first. Sometimes it gets my game into problems, which causes me to remember why they are often called: The jokers of the chess board. But I play just for the sheer joy of the game, so for me, there is always another game.
