I send a trophy to a opponent as a complimentary message.A "thank you" trophy is obvious as to its' intended purpose. As for collecting them for the sake of it,no thanks. To give a trophy to a player must have a genuine reason behind the giving. A token of friendship or politeness.

cups are a woman idea! they are the symbol of d..k and its hard to live without one trophy  at least!

Your life sounds a bit dull if you find it "hard to live" without a trophy.

It appeases the wrath of cats, and makes them feel one with the universe (or with a can of tuna).

Ask, and it shall be given.

Trophy sent.

Just keep giving them out yourself and you should find some players who will return the favor. I never thought much about them until an opponent gave me one. So I gave one back and began giving them to opponents - and they sometimes give me back one.

Cool I will do that. I really admire game trophies that I feel I actually earned!

I have noticed virtual trophies does not collect any dust.

There is a staff member that goes around constantly dusting them tongue.png

Ever get a trophy but the person includes a nasty insult in the comment?

Can a few send me a trophy? I would be thankful.

Here is a game I am proud of and I was really happy with getting a trophy after the game. When the game started I was rated 1868 while he was rated 2364.

The trophy I got was "Strikingly strong play" with the message
"You played very well in both games. Your 32nd move stopped everything for me as i was taking a calculated risk with bringing the rook to c7. I cannot fault the way you played at all but had you wanted to win you should have left the bishop alone. All the best in your other games. /Chris"

I really liked my king maneuver in that game. Just walk with the king to attack a pinned piece in the middlegame and then walk back when the opponents queen is trapped.

I get a bunch, all the time. I just give them all away as I hate dusting them.

And Tony, it's on your homepage (or Trophy corner).

Also I have a question, how does a person get to see these trophies, I have no idea how to do this .

To see the ones you have received, Home > Trophies

To see the ones you can give you can go to a player's profile or the hover profile card in places like the forum and click the Give Trophy option.

To see the ones you can give after a game, go to one in your Archive, click the game information tab and then Send Trophy
