I feel your pain. Had a similar situation with guys jeering me for a complaint I made about a slowwwwwww jackass on daily chess. He literally bored me into resigning because, he made only ONE move every three days. Sure it was a 3-day game but I take that as an option, not a rule. Everyone stood up for him, "maybe he is playing 15 or 20 at same time," maybe he is not on-line much," and on and on the commentators went making excuses for this dolt. I checked his daily game load, only 3-games, I checked routinely and he was on-line all day everyday. "Maybe the position is complicated and he needs time to study it" another said ... it was a drawish, even, pawn and 1-minor piece ending. I was forced to keep playing this jackass aimlessly and I did for about a month. Finally I just resigned to get his board off of my home page. I complained informally if a Forum I started. Like I said, this same crowd that you have here went on and on and on jeering and criticizing me for having the gall to complain about it.
So, don't feel lonely my friend. Accept the fact that these guys NEVER lend a sympathetic ear to victims of shit chess players. I have read your arguments and have seen your evidence. You have a damn good case for complaint. Also, ratings do matter otherwise why the *uck should we invest good time in a game that's rated? We can get better game and better experience from an engine. We don't play engines for ratings, if cheats are going to use engines without serious inquiry by the mod-squad then may as well shit can the whole site. I'm with you on this one Bro.'

I have sympathy with the OP. I reckon there are sufficient engines users to depress everyone elses rating. What chess.com could do, which would be difficult to implement , is when cheaters are discovered, have some alogorithim for adjusting ratings of players who have been victims of the cheats.
