Chess.com's bullet ratings....

Hi,

I am playing bullet games on this site after some 5-6 months...and it is obvious that I got rusty and lost lot of rating points(my highest rating was around 2400 but now I am around 2050)....but I have also noticed that lot of other players who were 2300 or 2400ish also lost many rating points during these 5-6 months...did some one notice this? is it that chess.com has changed its bullet rating system? or something else?

Yes i did otice that too. I used to be around 1900 and it seems i cant get higher than 1700 now. I thought i was much worse but I didn't know that.

I think the only explanation is that people have cheated by using engines, built up a massive score and then been banned, clobbering everybody's ratings. Statistically, every time somebody enters with 1200 and is banned with a higher score, those points are going to be lost forever through other honest players. My bullet chess has improved a lot with practice over the last 6 months, but remains stuck at the 1500 mark.
