No comparison. They are targeting different audiences. My kids had ChessKids accounts and the content is terrific fun for young children. The ChessKids team have done great job. The lessons are very good and I'd urge adults starting out in chess to look at the ChessKids lessons.

I agree. I recommend you to get an app called Chesskid. Chesskid lessons are terrific for young children and adults.

ChessKids has a few downsides too:

1. Video’s and lessons are in English only. I wonder if it would be possible to do ‘community translations’. I wouldn’t mind translating a few lessons. If more Dutch speaking people would offer the same... ?

2. There is no chat or forum in ChessKids. An understandable choice. But it makes gameplay a bit a lonely experience and it’s a real competitive disadvantage compared with Fortnite or Brawlstars (games ChessKids is competing with in our household).

As a parent of young children I like the chat arrangements on ChessKids. I think they had emoji and a standard word list like 'good game'. Also usernames are from a standard list. It means I dont have to supervise or micro manage their usage which neither of us want. It's not just the safeguarding but on sites that do have chat, my son gets upset if kids say unkind things. That's kids, totally normal, but it's nice to know I dont have to deal with it on ChessKids. Also schools and clubs are able to recommend ChessKids knowing that safe guarding arrangements are appropriate. For under 10s, I think it is a good site.

I thought it's a felony offense in here to mention a competing site.

ChessKid is not a competitor site. It is a part of chess.com.
