Well, I have CM 10 and it's Chessmaster personality rating is 2960. My girlfriend has the newest version and it's about 2824 on her Vista system.
About the conversion, I have no idea. If anyone does know a formula for this, I am interested what my rating would be from CM 10---->USCF or even FIDE

Yeah, I was asking the same thing (what the ELO strength of the program is). I have it myself, so I know the ratings it gives, but I'm quite sure that ChessMaster does not deserve a 2960 ELO rating (more like 2600).

No it doesn't. My Fritz 12 hits a little over 3000 when maxed out but I don't think Ubisoft programming can do that. Chess is not their main concentration but I wouldn't mind being a fly on that wall to see just how they make the CM games and what effort goes into them.

How strong, in ELO, is the latest version of the ChessMaster program produced? Also, to those who have it, is there a fairly easy way to convert roughly from the ratings of the players on ChessMaster given to their actual ELO rating ability if they were FIDE players (e.g. -200)?
