Sure chessplayers are smarter than the eneral population as a whole. Thats why they play chess because the intellectual aspect of it draws them to it. It's a bit like swimmers are drawn to swimming because they are good swimmers.

Also a lot of people are drawn to sports without being good at it. Ive never met someone who has been amazing at a sport immediately

Chessplayers are the most humble celebrities on earth.
That's because chess as a sport is the most lowly, compared to soccer or swimming. What glory is there in being chess work champion as opposed to Michael Phelps?
Magnus is the most humble sports star.
Most chessplayers are nerdy, and physically weak. I certainly am. That's why I play chess and face it everybody on chess.com that's why you play chess too.
We are brains not brawn.
And that kind of person is humble very nice friends make chessplayers
Are we good looking? No but beauty is on the inside.
We are wise intelligent and humble.
Obviously if we were good looking we would be models or singers.
But here's the good side, on the day of judgement our hearts will be the purest. We shall be first contenders for the pearly gates.
And while we live we are the nicest people on earth
I know many stereotypes of human and I give the nicest coolest person award to chess folks.
