'Print on demand' publishing has its place, but few authors make 'way more money', or any money. Typically 'Print on demand' is used for books that can't find a publisher by authors that can't afford to self-publish and distribute in cost effective volume. I have published and self-published. Many advantages and disadvantages to both. 'Print on demand' works for some, but has its downsides. Publishing is a minefield.
I know most of you know about the website that so many talk about for tactics. (www.chesstactics.org). But now I have found out they have printed it all out in two volumes for $19.98 each and it is published by Lulu company. (It is called Predator at the Chessboard Vol 1 and Vol 2.)
Please go to the site and on the first page they give you a link for ordering the printed copy (paperback) and read the reviews.
I was thinking of getting them as I do not enjoy reading all the material on the computer and much rather have a book.
If you have seen this or know about it, please let me know before I order it from "Lulu."
