This thread is full of and half-truths. I wish I had time to list them all but I urge anyone reading it to do their own fact checking.

What is a country?
What defines a country?
It's art? It's beauty?
What is America?
美国 Beauty + Country.
America the Beautiful
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
Or is it
國 a 囗 territory defended by a 戈 spear. A turf.
O say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight.
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave
We have amber waves of grain in one hand, and arrows to kill with in the other hand. They are not the same thing.

Translate 中国 for me.
And I don't mean
中国 = China.
If you can't do that, get the hell out of here, stupid.
And I didn't say "middle", I said central. Central as in importance. The center of attention. The center of the world. I use my words very correctly.
@muli114514
Why don't you try translating.
中国
if you can.
The name of your country. In your own language.

I have 1 question for you. Easy one. Multiple choice.
Which one should have been the Chinese flag?
A.

or
B.

Easy, multiple choice question.
You have 50/50 chance.
You can do it.
Pick one.
What's the matter?
Don't know which flag belongs to your country?
I know mine. It's the The Stars Spangled Banner.

We have amber waves of grain in one hand, and arrows to kill with in the other hand. They are not the same thing.
Amber waves of grain? I’ve always thought of it as an olive branch to signify peace and the arrows stood for war.

Hint: China is a very great country, so it should be given 5 stars

My question is a trick question.
The answer is the South Korean Flag should have been the Chinese Flag.
But it isn't because China sucks. It doesn't even know its history.
Why do you even care so much
China is trying to re-write History.
It's a trick straight out George Orwell 1984.
"He who controls the present controls the past.
He who controls the past controls the future." George Orwell - 1984.
You must care about truth. If you don't care about truth, what is the point of living?
Because it's so unimportant.....as far as I know, Chinese people do acknowledge the influence India has had on Chinese culture. Chinese chess is also validly Chinese, so why make a big deal out of it?
If you want to speak out on something -- why don't you speak on the numerous human rights abuses in China? There ARE real human rights issues going on in China -- right now, not concerning things from long ago. You're not under censorship, so you need not fear the CCP. Why not speak out on systemic racism in the US? I just feel like you're making a big deal out of nothing...
The "Mormons" is what other people call them. They don't call themselves that.
They call themselves, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints."
I am not kidding.
