choosing an ECO opening

I think that is a great idea in having a data base available for creating challenges.  I noticed a few changes some time ago when creating a challenge.  Alot of games I have created challenges using various ECO styles.  Some ECO games I know exactly while others I am uncertain of.  Previously when creating a match in the drop down menu with all ECO listings you could view that opening prior to submitting a new challenge.

You can still create a challenge using this feature.

Is it a computer fault or a change?  I can no longer view various games and see the exact positions of that particular ECO, every opening shows the Standard opening.

I imagine it was too expensive to maintain all that extra information. However it is still possible to choose among the ECO feature when creating a challenge.

Thanks

When creating a challenge you have options on the type of game.

Standard, 960 or an ECO of your choice.

Some time ago when browsing through the ECO games you could view each opening and actually see the various positions.  Some of these openings would be 1 to several moves into that opening.

When I look at those openings now I can only view the ECO and not any of the positions associated with that opening.

My question was has that changed or is a fault I am having?

There should be a mini-board to the right of the drop down, that shows you the starting position after you have selected it.

I can choose any and all openings from the selection of ECO listings and every position still remains as a standard opening.  I have no doubt if I did create a challenge the game would be of the ECO I chose.  I just can no longer view the various openings before creating a challenge.
