( I found out people once said it in 2018, it means not just me who thinks so.)

cutting off the fierce fight sometimes make both of the player sad.

sometimes people overthink and forget to move, sometimes people disconnect, or unexpected happens and upsets the pace. neither as a friend nor as a random player, I might not want to win in these situations.

adding the button won't harm too much as a player, it just "asks" about wouldn't you continue playing, continue waiting, or not.

even so, you may change the setting (on/off) as your mood go.

agree pls comment.

You can always invite your opponent to an analysis board post-game to see how the game could proceed.

I don't quite understand the feature being requested. It sounds like you want a button to claim your win if your opponent is taking too long. Is that correct?

To my understanding, what the OP meant is that he does not wish to immediately claim a win when the opponent runs out of time (possibly because he wishes for the opponent to actually continue), so he wishes for there to be a button to claim a win (instead of making the win "automatic") so that he will have the option to decline the instant win on time.

Ahhh. There is a feature on Lichess where you can add time to your opponent's clock. I think that is the more elegant way of solving this issue.
