Classroom video / audio not working for me and my friend

When me and my friend try to use classroom on our windows 11 PCs ( modern ), the audio and video portion lasts for about 4-5 minutes before completely cutting out and shutting down, and we have to leave the classroom and come back to fix it, or turn our cameras on / off. Its a huge pain
We both have high speed internet and recent laptops ( 2022 lenovo, 2020 dell )
I would love some advice on this topic! Has anybody used classroom without audio / video issues? My friend and I instead just started calling on our iphones and using classroom in the background
