Club match leaderboard/points

Hey everyone, 

So I am pretty new to  the club management scene, but I am a part of one club (NARWHALS) as a super admin and I have been enjoying watching our rank improve. But, I was wondering...how exactly do the leaderboard and "points" system work? I guess you get points from winning games, but how does it work exactly? Do you get more points for winning bigger matches? Do you lose points/drop on the leaderboard if you lose matches? And, does the vote chess leaderboard work the same way?

I'd like to revisit this...if we lose a bunch of team matches, will our ranking drop a lot? In other words, are we penalized on the leaderboard for losing matches?

OK, thanks. Would it just be a tiny drop, or would we drop a lot? Is it smart to play a LOT of team matches and risk losing, or is it better to be careful and try to only play TM's that we will win?
