What ever possesed chess.com to advertise that the cold war was fought over the chess board.The cold war had nothing to do with chess it was just beat up by media to portray that.Chess is between 2 player usually and the rest is up to you!

That's true.  The COLD WAR was fought with submarines not chess pieces.  I saw Hunt For Red October.
