Colour

Does what colour you play affect the rating outcome. I just drew a game as white playing against an opponent 100pts lower and lost rating points only a couple but still my rating went down.

We are now having a rematch were im playing black and if we were to draw now i would gain 4 pts if i was to lose i would only lose 2pts.

So i was just wondering if the colour you played made a difference as i thought it was just based on your rating and the Glicko rating?

If you draw a game against a player rated lower than yourself, you will lose points. Not as many as if you were to lose... but a few. If you draw against someone rated higher than yourself, you will gain a few points.

Color doesn't figure into it.
