I've known how to build the bridge for years and never had to do it once. Is it just me?

I've done it a million times. Not strictly in K vs K+p with my king on the 7th, but in all sorts of endgames the king is useful in escorting a pawn.

I do not think that I have ever had the bridge situation arise in one of my own games, but I did see it come up in the game of another club player, sometime in the last month or two.
